A single act of fury has left its mark on a small rural community. Months later, in a council office many miles away, an architect readies to present her plans for the memorial she has created in their honour – an indelible monument to those lost.

The unannounced arrival of a visitor interrupts the proceedings. It is a lone mother who has travelled a great distance to be here. Having witnessed something incredible, she wants to share a story of hope and faith so that her community can begin to live again.

On this night two extraordinary women collide, waging a personal battle between religious faith and humanism, grief and commemoration – a battle that will change both of their lives irrevocably.

A brilliant, enthralling and intensely moving play that explores our desire for connection and meaning in the world.

For Like a Fishbone, Griffin has partnered with Sydney Theatre Company to present this compelling new work at the Wharf 1 Theatre.

Dusseldorp delivers one of the outstanding stage turns of the year.’ Jason Blake, SMH

‘These are two of Sydney’s most skilful stage actresses and when they come head-to-head in this play it is quite a sight to behold.’ Alex Lalak, Daily Telegraph

‘Dusseldorp and Hegh are completely engrossing for the entire 90 minutes, with excellent support from Aimee Horne as the architect’s bewildered work-experience girl. Highly recommended. 9/10′ Elissa Blake , Sun Herald.

‘Tim Maddock’s deftly handles a very intense argument with great skill and finesse.’ Augusta Supple, Australian Stage

‘Prepare to be surprised’ Trish Roberts, Concrete Playground
