Why give?

We love our small theatre, but it does limit our capacity to earn. Tickets sales and government support cover only 47% of Griffin’s operating costs.

To bridge the gap while keeping ticket prices affordable and our programs working at their best, we rely on your support. Without it, Griffin would not be able to fulfill its role as one of the liveliest and most stimulating theatres in Australia.

Your support has a direct effect on the quality of our plays and productions, on the calibre of artists on our stage, on our ability to offer discounted tickets to young people pensioners and the unemployed and on our links with the community.

Our donors are a vital part of the Griffin family, so for one year after their donation, we acknowledge their generosity in our combined production programs/scripts. We also invite our donors to share special company events with us.

Giving to Griffin means that when you see something terrific on our stage, or learn how our programs have made a difference in the lives of artists or young people, you have double the pleasure in knowing that you helped make it happen.
